Remarks | I saw and commented on this meteor/bolide/superbolide on this site but looking around I noticed this report facility so thought I'd also submit a report if it helps you guys. I wish it was fresher in my mind now though as I'm unsure whether I saw it streak left to right or vice versa now that a few days have passed! It was so bright though and it seemed to last forever - I tracked it right down from high util it exploded at sea level (right into what I assumed was the sea itself). I was on my third floor balcony which directly overlooks the whole of the Irish Sea (I have no houses or anything in front of me, I'm right on the seafront). I was quite staggered by it actually, I've seen many shooting stars around the world but this was something exceptional, a true fireball and so incredibly bright yet not as fast as normal shooting stars I've seen. |
