This is the clearest account I can possibly report. This happened just last week. I was staying at my girlfriends house, when I went outside for a smoke. Days ago I had tried telling her what Orion looked like, and she had no clue! So I went out toward the road looking to see if Orion was visible where there was less trees. Almost to the end of the driveway looking South across the street, and in the middle of the clearing I watch this bright green flash followed by a trail of sparkling green/white glitter. The whole thing lasted but a second, but the fact that I was staring right at the patch of sky from the moment it appeared, to the moment it was just gone was absolutely breath taking. I went back inside, and said you will never believe this.
After seeing it, I stood dead in my footprints. And didn't dare breath or make sound. I waited at least 5 minutes for a report. But not a single crackle ever traveled by my ear. Definitely one of my favorite astronomical events that I have personally witnessed. Thank you, and I hope my information is helpful! |
