Remarks | The smoke trail lasted for ~10 min. I sighted the fireball when looking out of window. It last only 3 secs at the most...it had a smoke trail...which was white in color. The fireball was colored red in the front, and mostly green in the back. it lit up the sky...it must have crashed on the other side of the top of the mountain, because there was a the cloud of smoke (separate from the trail of smoke). I did not see a terminal flash or fragmentation because it went behind the mountain, and I could not hear it because I was inside the building and music was on. There are ~ 6 other people who have witnessed this event from different areas of Cormorant Island. It took a few days to find out where to report this incident. |
