Remarks | I was looking at a contrail extending west to east in the southern sky , quite visible in the light of the moon. The meteor appeared traveling in an east to west direction with a slight downward angle ,color of object was bright greenish/blue with profound tail seemed to have a red glow or aura around the entire object ,no trailing behind object. After the object had passed I looked back to the point of initial sighting to double check starting point and noticed part of the contrail I had been looking at had disappeared where the meteors path had intersected it, the rest of the contrail had remained visible for at least five minutes following the sighting. |
