Reports Report 3631a (Event 3631-2014)

Observer
Name Charissa W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks My husband and I both saw this while we were driving home from a belated family Christmas celebration. I was so loud and excited and our children so disappointed that they missed it. I have seen meteor showers and witnessed dozens of lone "shooting stars" over the years but this was FAR bigger, brighter and so very green. We were quite amazed! I wondered for a moment if it was related to Lovejoy that I read about but figured not since this was fast. I saw the dash cam video of the San Antonio fireball and I would say this one was quite similar but probably a little smaller/further away and more obviously green.
