Was a long firey streak that seemed to have a "velvety" look. Best meteor I've ever seen since the '93 Perseids. Seemed quite fast. Meteor appeared soon after I spotted Soutwest Air Flight 369 about to pass overhead on way to New Orleans (as per FlightAware).
