Remarks My mother and I were in the car when we saw it. It was bright orange with a burning tail following it. It seemed huge! I've seen meteor showers but never anything like this. It must have lasted quite a few seconds because I had time to point it out to my mother, comment on how huge it was and speculate on what it could be. As large as it was I was almost expecting it to stay lit till it hit the ground. It seemed to last a long time then it just went out. At first I almost thought it was a plane that was on fire or something then realized it must be a meteor. It went from left to right and only lost some of it's height as it streaked across the sky. I'm not really sure what time it was. I just know it was early evening but it was already fully dark. I'm also not sure of my exact location. It was after Harvey but before Marquette. Heading in the direction of Marquette. It was an amazing site. I've never seen anything like it. Very cool to have witnessed.
