Remarks | I did not see the meteor itself, I was facing NW and it was not in my field of view. The Moon was two days after the full moon and it was very bright and the sky was clear. I saw my friends were illuminated by what I first thought looked like lighting, the fact that I clearly saw my friends and objects around illuminated makes me think the object was ~ as bright or brighter than the Moon. I turned my head and saw orange glowing trail. The trail was double, much like the Chelyabinsk meteor. It was orange for 1-2 seconds and then turned to white smoke color which was visible for 2-5 seconds. I told my friends to be quiet expecting to hear sound, but we did not hear anything. |
