This object was very bright. I was facing in another direction and the luminance caught my attention. When I turned and saw it, I thought it must be a helicopter because it was moving so slowly. Then I saw the fragmentation. Very spectacular.

Remarks
It looked like a sparkler the way it was sending off debris. Large chunks broke off periodically. But it never stopped giving off fragments as it moved across the sky.
