Remarks | It was big and bright enough to catch our attention and draw our vision to the SW sky. It was much brighter than all other stars. We were not looking for fireballs. We just happened to be outside and saw a twinkling, auburn, fire-colored object in the sky. At first it seemed to be hovering in the sky and then it started to fall. When it started falling it was twinkling and then it completely disappeared. It then reappeared, but it was much smaller. Eventually it stopped twinkling and faded away. Neither of us had seen anything like this before and we both have seen several different meteor showers. This object zigzagged from up to down and did not leave a "streak" or "tail" like other meteors we have seen. This was something we have never seen before. |
