Remarks | I live approximately 10 miles from Kennedy Space Center, and have seen many shuttle and rocket launches. I have never seen anything light up the sky like this. The color was green with a white tail and from my vantage point seem to come straight down. AMAZING! To be honest, I was waiting for a rumble or some type of shock wave. I was driving so that may have impeded the sound. |

Color | Green with a white tail. When it hit either a cloud layer or the lower atmosphere, a white area was generated. I have seen shuttles go up and it seemed much larger and I've never seen the same effect when a shuttle came into contact with clouds. |
