Once I realized it wasn't a firecracker (no noise and no others shot off) I assumed it was a shooting star. But it was very orange - I had no idea there were fireballs! Though I guess they are similar or the same as shooting stars.

It looked like a firecracker had been shot off but not exploded. Was about 3 or 4 pieces.
