Remarks | Very bright. Appeared about -8 or-9 but that was against a backlit NW sky just after sunset so it may have been brighter. The bolide originally had flames trailing (not a persistent train but flames behind the object itself). About when the bolide was only ~25 degrees in elevation, the flames disappeared though the object was still glowing and an observable negative delta-v occurred, then the object dimmed from visibility very near the local horizon. |
