Remarks | brief burst of light was when it caught my eye, then when I focused on it I could see a trail for about the duration of a second, then suddenly it slowed down (or atleast it looked like it did) and the "tail" was gone suddenly, then it looked like a green orb continuing along the same trajectory as a single large piece until it went behind the tree line, very close to the horizon from my point of view. Never seen one like this before, and I have seen 2-3 actual fireballs, some slower, some faster, this one seemed like it was in the "middle" speed wise, but I was able to watch it for almost the entire duration of it entering the atmosphere until it went behind the horizon! I was on I-5 north with several other cars, they all hit their brakes when it came overhead, so Im assuming that most of the others driving around me saw it as well. |
