Remarks | We were heading North on I-79 outside Summersville, before the birch river /cowen exit at the top of the giant mountain in that stretch of road. It looked like a Roman candle, only it was shooting directly down. My wife (who has taught Astronomy) and I both saw it. It disappeared behind the mountain and we may have only seen a fraction of it. It lit up the trees and seemed very close (but I could not judge the distance). It was green and white and very bright. |
