Remarks I could see a puffy white smoke trail as it crossed the sky...when ball of flame was out of sight the trail looked more smooth and similar to an aircraft's vapor trail.

Remarks I was facing the direction of flash (but my eyes were not looking up)...there was an orange flash that lighted my patio...I instinctively ducked my head and looked up at the same time...it was very bright and I would say it was a little bit larger than Venus as you view it.
