Remarks | Time indicated is very approximate. Son, 2 granddaughters, & I were looking at the full moon rising over trees across the river when my son exclaimed, "Look at that!" We've both experienced numerous meteor showers & even a meteor storm, but had never seen anything like this. We were frozen in place as we watched it move from the east across to the south of our position, then ran 20 or 30 yards around the 2-story house so we could follow it as it moved relatively low across the clear sky. It broke into 2 pieces before disappearing into clouds to the west. We basically followed it nearly from horizon to horizon. |
