I was on the porch relaxing with my eyes shut when it got so bright as if a car had pulled up to my deck with hit's brights on. I opened my eyes to see a very large white light traveling vrtical projection vertically then it dimmed to an intense green.

Not sure I can help here but this thing was a Huge Fat Teardrop in appearance with white glowing edges and green on the inside when the bright flash had dissipated. When from bright white to an intense green all the way down.
