I was in my car and looking towards Lake Ontario which is about 500 ft. from my home. I was almost in front of the house which is on North Ave. on the west side of the street. I thought at first it was some kind of flare. I heard no noise and it appeared from where I was about the size of a basketball. Was traveling in an arc from west to east and downward. Was visible for several seconds. It looked like it just burned out. I love watching the sky and am a star gazer but absolutely amateur. It was quite a thrill to see it and I'm happy my daughter found this website to inform me.
