Remarks | I was in my car, facing approximately north-east, when I saw a mostly vertical smoke trail with a bright head(like a flare or dud firework), moving DOWN the sky. I only took a picture after the fact, and it only shows the dissipating smoke trail. The photo shows that from my vantage point the object was maybe travelling in a direction closer to east than NE. At first I thought it might've been an exploding model rocket(!), but realized fairly quickly it was probably a meteor. I was in my car, but did not hear any sonic boom or other sound. The head was yellowish-orange, and sparkled a bit, again, a bit like a flare. I don't see how to attach a photo to this report, but if someone contacts me I will send it. It's not great (iPhone 5), but it might help. Let me know. |
