Remarks | I couldn't sleep so I got up and was watching the moon rise with Venus above. I am on the 16th floor and can see the JFK air traffic control tower on the horizon. Unfortunately window blinds were part way down allowing me to see maybe only 10 degrees of the sky from where I sat. The fireball appeared from behind the blinds at full brightness. It move left to right, taking about two seconds at a leisurely pace, downward to the horizon where it disappeared to the left of the control tower. |
