Remarks I have seen several really good fireballs this one was different in that it had no green tail. I live in a rural big sky area that is great for watching the night sky. This one was as bright as the ISS I have seen go straight overhead.

Remarks Out on my banjo playing spot looking at the stars, no moon. Spotted it coming out of the east fast and brighter than the brightest star but no tail like others fireballs I have seen. First I thought a plane then realized a very bright meteor and expected to see a tail form but non formed. I was very excited, it lasted a long time (several seconds) it remind white like a very, very bright star then fragmented in 4 or 5 pieces at the terminal spot I saw it. It was very low to the horizon and appeared only a mile or two from me and I listened for a sound expecting a boom it looked so close but none. No smoke trail or glow either. Only fragmented a the end.
