Remarks | It appeared as if the meteor had just passed over when I noticed the tail. I am positive that this was not a com trail. I would not report this unless I felt that this was from a meteor or other object in the sky. |

Remarks | I missed the fireball, but saw the " com trail like" train left behind. It streaked across the sky straight as an arrow, and was visible because of the lights from the city. It was fairly wide where it entered the atmosphere, and very narrow at the western horizon. The train was visible for quite some time. I do not believe this was a com trail, it was too straight, almost perfectly straight. I've never seen a com trail this long, almost 3/4 of the sky. It almost looked like a spotlight pointing to the sky on the western horizon when I noticed it. |
