I am assuming that a lot of people were able to view this fireball, as it occurred in full view of heavy traffic facing westbound on I-66W leaving D.C. toward northern VA.

Remarks
About 1 second into flight there was a bright flash and then the fireball continued along it's trajectory. Fragmentation, if it occurred, probably happened then and continued along trajectory.
