Reports Report 312fp (Event 312-2014)

Observer
Name ryan c
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It's probably impossible to tell, but it seemed very close. I was at my mailbox actually looking northeast when the bright light from the southeast "scared the crap out of me." My first thought was lightning but there was no thunder. Then I saw a blue streak with a small orange spark at the very end. If someone made me guess, it seemed within 50 to 100 feet of the ground and maybe 300 to 500 yards away. But I'm sure with as quick as it happened that may not be accurate. Thanks
