Remarks | Not an expert astronomer but I grew up in Anaheim back in the day and AM an expert in fireworks (Disneyland had a major show every night). This guy was vastly brighter than the normal meteor, ran through about a five degree arc, then blew up into another five degree arc in 3-4 pieces. Downward 45 degree angle, but moving in a straight line and fast....so not a firework. Plus, we are in the country and the area under which I saw the fireball has just cows....and almost no juvenile delinquents. Any locally obtained and launched fireworks would not have been able to get that speed and downward 45 arc. |
