Remarks | I'd never seen a "shooting star" that bright or low on the horizon before and it lasted long enough that I was able to tell my wife to look and she was able to watch the last half of what I saw. Event time & duration are just guesses. We were driving north on US71 between Lamar & Nevada, MO, and I don't remember exactly where we were on the highway. Based on our arrival time home, event happened between 5:30pm to 6pm. |
