Remarks | It caught my eye as I was heading due north on a sidewalk, i noticed it off to the right and watched it float seemingly straight west on a level plane. I initially thought it was a plane taking of from Des Moines that was flying west but then sparkler trail made me think it was a firework of some kind. But the dead silence indicated that it was too far away to be a firework. |

Remarks | Glowing trail, nearly perfectly horizontal, yellow/gold, looked like a straight stream of sparks following a white/yellow ball. When the ball fizzled out, the sparks stopped with it. |
