Remarks | We were driving north bound toward Slater, Iowa. The sun had just set and the western sky still glowed from the setting sun, but the sky above us and in the East was dark. My son spotted it first from the East and it lasted about 5-10 seconds. It had a long green tail and basically burned out right in front of us. It looked low and close. I would not be surprised if it fell near Slater, Iowa. It was so close to us. Awesome experience! |
