Remarks i can not be sure that this was a bolide. But a bolide would be the only plausible explanation for what we saw. It is too cold for lightning. Again this was very bright and lit up the clouds in every direction.

Remarks there was thick cloud cover so I didn't see the explosion itself. what i saw was a series of bright flashes that illuminated the entire sky. there were two two big flashes and multiple small flashes. I was looking straight up at my zenith the during these flashes. My dad was with me and he saw it too. we live in a rural area without light pollution.
