Reports Report 2999b (Event 2999-2013)

Observer
Name Pamela and Rodney T
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks this was a big ball on fire with a big fat tail attached to it but not trailing behind after it passed. It was big and clear and right in front of us through our big "A" frame front of the house that faces the Haleakala observatory. It was as if this object was right in front of us. Our lights were on in the house and we were watching TV in the direction of the window. Even with the lights on in the house this ball was very very very bright and on fire was undeniable. Absolutely breathtaking. It got us out of our couch to watch it head down the mountain, but once we got up it was already gone. My husband thought it would end up in the Pacific Ocean. I thought I might even see a fire where it landed on Haleakala to my right. But there was no fire and we could no longer see the fireball.
