It didn't move remarkably fast. It was slow enough that my partner and I were able to discuss what we thought it was as we were watching it shoot across the sky. There was absolutely no noise. It was quite bright and the trail was equally as bright next to the fireball, then faded as the trail went further away from the center of the fireball. It was pretty fantastic to watch! I'm glad I was in the right spot at the right moment! :)

Remarks
It looked like a glowing train. It disappeared behind the fireball at a slower rate. I though it was a falling star at first, but then I saw the glowing trail.
