Reports Report 2456bf (Event 2456-2013)

Observer
Name Johnny B
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I see meteors often. I've seen one leave a contrail at twilight; one during the day; heard them many times; and have been fortunate enough to hear one burn like a torch. When me and my friend looked up we saw it streak all the way across the sky and we could see the train behind it at night dark from the glow of the meteor. It was in Honolulu during the year Haley Comet passed. This one tonight didn't move much. It appeared to be heading somewhat in my direction. The breakup was so visible I could see many of the fragments glow green as they fell strait down from its position.

Remarks It grew very bright right before it broke up.
Fragmentation

Remarks I saw it break into about 6-10 large pieces with dozens of smaller glowing pieces all around it. It looked like it blew apart. I've seen one before break into two pieces and a couple that broke into three pieces. This was different.
