Reports Report 2136d (Event 2136-2024)

Observer
Name Sam K
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Have undergraduate level astronomy experience/knowledge. Brightness is worth commenting on- this didn’t appear to light up the landscape (considering that it was beyond the port hills in front of me anyway) but was bright enough to capture my attention in the corner of my eye (otherwise looking at a small screen) out a window in competition with very bright port lights in full view. In terms of elevation, the fireball appeared to trail off/self extinguish *before* it crossed the horizon (which from this vantage point is somewhat elevated due to the port hills of Governors bay).
