Remarks I guess what shocked me was how clear and how close it seemed. It really did have a bit of a look as if it were fire moving and did have that visual effect that shooting stars sometimes do with a 'tail' look to it, as if something were trailing behind. I have seen many shooting stars on my travels cross country and especially in the west in Montana/Wyoming/Idaho where the sky views are plentiful. I hope this helps. It sure felt like a special sight to behold!

Remarks At first all I could see was a bright orangish ball looking thing and thought it was a shooting start until I noticed the color... it happened so fast. The orange ball itself seemed to have a trail behind it, in other words it was 'leading' some grayish color (I think) which to my eye only processed as something 'attached' at the tail end of it. Then the orange glow started shrinking in size from first seemed like a really big roundish shape, and as it was falling on an angel, from left to right towards the ground, it became smaller and smaller. Then it looked like it just disintegrated into a black puff with grayish smoke left behind. I believe I saw black first and then it faded into gray and into nothing. It was no where close to the ground, more like horizon level. But there were no stars out as it wasn't dark enough yet-- and there was still a pale blue sky. It was over an open field. I was actually in a parking lot of Walmart-- looking to the field behind while stopped at a stop sign, which I believe was east. Crossroads of Cedar Lane and Prosperity Road, looking back towards the field in front of North Division Street.
