Was photographing SpaceX launch. At the moment was looking southeast when it appeared. Called to my wife to look and she spun around and spotted it. It traveled nearly overhead--just a bit to our north. Continued tracking and watched it end in the northwest. Camera was doing 8-second exposures. It moved into the field of view during the exposure. Camera shutter closed and reopened 3-seconds later but event had ended. We listened carefully for about 5 minutes--no detectable sound. Did not see any fragmentation. Did not see any residual smoke. As it moved overhead it was considerably brighter than Venus. When it ended it had dimmed and was about the brightness of Jupiter. (See photograph.)
