Remarks | I was driving to work and observed it northwest of Pensacola, Florida approximately 30° above the northwest horizon traveling south by southeast slowly. Over the course of approximately 30-40 seconds, it covered the compass from approximately 300° to 220°, from northwest to south by southeast. The head was large and distinct from the tail, visibly red to orange-red and moderately bright, with a several inch long red tail that gradually shortened until the tail disappeared a few seconds before the red ember of the head disappeared as well. |
