Remarks I was driving south on Airline Drive, south of I-220 right before you each The Home Depot. Husband and I had a clear view. WE could not hear anything being inside a car that has a lot of road noise and while in conversation. I drive a Honda Element and my teen daughter sitting on the passenger side (which would have been closer to the ball than the driver side) could not see the meteor. She missed the whole thing as I kept my finger up pointing to it and asking my husband "Do you see that?" Not sure the calculations of the horizon but maybe knowing where I was and the height from the front seat to the back seat difference may be able to help you. We are average heights being around 5'5 and daughter is 5'3. I called KSLA channel 12 and not sure if that had or will have a report from others. I have tried not to magnify the size for what it's not BUT this thing was huge...the biggest one I've seen in person. At most...it was in the sky for about 7 seconds. But probably more around 5-6. The colors were very pretty. I do not recall red colors though but I definitely recall green and yellow. I do not know which came first but there was more green then yellow it seemed. It appears dramatically, bright and of size. It did not break apart and left smoothly and disappeared in the sky. There were no trees that his it from us. It probably left back out of the atmosphere but I am no expert.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 5s
Length 10°
Remarks Glowing white train that was as bright as the ball itself until about 3/4of the length. After that the tail was bright still but the tail thinned and was not capable of being as bright as the ball and 3/4th of the tail. The start of the tail carried some of the yellow and green colors from the ball. The ball was as big as a quarter or nickel held up at the length of a man's arm. Definitely not a dime size but much greater in size.
