Reports Report 1740a (Event 1740-2013)

Remarks (9:45 Approx time) Meteor trail was very, very long. Appeared near Polaris and traveled all the way far into the mid part of Scorpio. Amazing. My head had to keep turning. ( The flare was even without pieces of fragmentation.) I expected it to fragment but perhaps it skipped off the atmosphere and went into space again. It first appeared as a short tailed meteor and had the appearance of traveling slightly slowly (because the angle of view near horizon - like a plane "seems" to travel slowly at the horizon but when it is above you it "seems" to speed up.) I don't think i will see this again in my life.
