Remarks | I was viewing M88 through my Telescope, facing west. The meteor caught my attention by illuminating the grassy field I was in. I looked towards the southwest, and saw it coming straight down from the constellation Hydra into Centaurus. It must have been quite bright when it first appeared because it It lit up my observing site, and by the time I began to view it, it was probably a -6 to -8 magnitude. It quickly faded as it went towards the horizon. |
