Remarks | I was driving a moving truck on 3/15/13 at about 11:00 PM when the meteor appeared at the top of the windshield, coming straight down, about 500-800 ft in front of me, slightly to the right. My mother was in her car behind me and saw it as well. It appeared to have burned out just prior to hitting the ground. I never went back to inspect the area. Tonight, I read on yahoo news that a meteorite had hit the moon on 3/17/13, and wondered if the one I saw might be part of the same asteriod belt. I also was wondering if there were others seen in the area. Please advise me of your findings if possible. Thank you. |
