I was facing in the SE direction while walking my dog and was keeping an eye out for the comet when all of a sudden there was a rapid moving ball with long tail (very white, bright) moving quickly in the night sky. I did not see the full trajectory due to the tree line blocking my view. It had come and gone before my eyes in a matter of seconds.
