Remarks | The "shooting star" fell almost straight down very rapidly. It flared a couple of times but there was no terminal explosion. It appeared to fall fairly close, within a few miles, if it did reach the ground. It sure seemed like it would have hit the ground somewhere between Castle Rock and Franktown. |
