The fire ball was moving smoothly in low altitude, coherently not too fast at all. A little faster than a regular plane landing into san francisco airport. After 2 seconds the fireball got brighter all of sudden, like a little explosion. A little green or may be yellow light on the back of ball the towards the edges with dominant white very bright color in the center and the bottom.
I had to turn continuously to watch it. Then it got little less brighter after the little explosion and then all of sudden turn into 8 or more portions with less brightness. All portions were still moving slowly and coherently in the same directions but I could see the spacing between fragments were becoming bigger and then I could not see anymore. Like they were not bright anymore. I watch the sky all the time but I had never seen anything like this in my entire life. I was in a bright parking lot but still i could see it with all lights around me but somehow I did not hear any sound. By the way I was not sure about the time but it was after 7 pm. |
