Reports Report 6414i (Event 6414-2019)

Observer
Name Amanda T
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It was a very bright ball of light that appeared in the night sky ahead of me, above and to the right. It was a large ball of burning light and moved quickly across the sky. It had a thick tail that followed as it burned. It happened very quickly and then as it fell down heading to the left of the sky, it just disappeared. As I was watching it, I didn't know what it was. I thought maybe it was a plane on fire that was going to crash, because it happened over the path that airplanes travel near the airport in Arlington, TX but when it disappeared suddenly in mid-air, I realized it must've been a meteor. Just a few seconds later, I saw to the left and a little above where it disappeared, what looked like a shooting star, but it only lasted 1 second and it was very small, like a quick flash of a shooting star. I wondered if it was related, but then not, because it came from the other direction.
