Remarks | I was in my hot tub talking with a friend, I was on the south side of it facing north. In the middle of our conversation I paused because I saw a bright white light in the sky, which was magnitudes brighter and larger than the brightest visible object (sans the moon). It lasted approximately 5 seconds and traveled what seemed to be about 45 degrees from top towards western horizon to the north. It was visible enough that I would assume that people driving north on any of the roads and freeways around Portland could have seen it. |
