Reports Report 1270e (Event 1270-2012)

Observer
Name Greg M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I drive from Fresno, CA to Stratford, CA to my workplace. Upon arriving at my workplace, a person who works for me said that he had experienced a couple of earthquakes that morning. Without letting him know what I saw, I asked him the approximate time of the earthquakes and he said the first was at about 6:15 that morning. I asked him to describe what he felt and he said that there was a small earthquake at first that made him lift his arms off his desk and look around. Then there was a dramatically larger earthquake, so large that someone came running out of an adjacent building yelling "earthquake." The duration was quite short of the earthquakes. I arrived 45 minutes later when I was told of the earthquakes, no one here having seen the flash.

Observation Yes
Duration 2.5s
Length
Remarks There were two parts to the train, an inner hour-glass shape that had the coloring and an outer football-shape that looked like a jet's contrail. The flash of the neon-blue color was brilliant and is what drew my attention, while drawing my attention the color was visible when I trained my eye. The contrail persisted for a longer period.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The flash was bright and drew my eye ( I was looking in the general direction entering the freeway, but it was higher than my visual plane so drew my eye up).
