Remarks My husband and I were sitting in our condo on the 20th floor of a high rise building downtown SD. Our TV sits between two floor to ceiling windows and we were positioned perfectly towards the TV and outside the windows. All of a sudden we saw a streak of light come from the left side of our window (we were facing South). The streak was incredibly bright and we thought, at first, it was a firework. It was huge and bright and lasted a while. Long enough for my husband to scream profanity and jump to the window. My jaw dropped as we stared at it falling. The ball of fire whizzed quickly from above the building to just about horizon level. It went behind a building after that, but if it continued it appeared it would have it the walkway by the Midway Museum or the water. It was unbelievable!

Remarks It almost looked like a firework. Fireworks start out a little bit bright and then grow brighter. The trail did the same exact thing. As it got brighter more colors became visible. White was the main color of the trail with a little bit of yellow at the very far end of the trail. There was some orange at the top of the tail right before the bright white fireball leading the streak.
