Reports Report 1255o (Event 1255-2012)

Observer
Name Vincent S
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Luckily I was able to recognize the ramp along the bike trail, so I was able to get a fairly accurate starting position. The fireball seemed like it was very close, though I don\'t have a very good frame for size reference. If it wasn\'t extremely close, it must have been absolutely massive. A friend of mine replied to my Facebook post claiming to see it too, though she has been known to lie for attention. Unfortunately I can\'t speak for her location or experience.

Delayed Sound
Observation No
Remarks No sound. I was on the riverbed bike path, which seems to amplify sounds, though I didn\'t hear anything. There are nearby streets, though, which may have drowned out any sound I might have heard.
Persistent train
Observation No
Duration 2s
Length 12°
Remarks Main portion of the fireball was blue with orange starting farther up the tail.
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks Fragmentation was possible, but I could be mistaken. Seemed like orange bits were coming off of the end, but it could have just been flame.
