Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Just wanted to add that it has been the most amazing sight my eyes have ever witnessed. I was shocked at the extremely rapid speed this object was traveling, its comet looking shape and fireball effect it gave as it got closer to the ground atmosphere level. This is where the traveling direction changed into a direct fall towards the ground. Hope my account helps you? Sincerely, Analia Salazar Laredo, TX, USA.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 5s
Length 20°
Remarks glowing train (white, extremely bright orange) that was spotted traveling from southeast towards northeast direction at an amazingly fast speed. eventually took the form of a ball of fire falling and seemed as it slowed down in speed and then began to fall straight down towards the ground. No noise heard.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks at one point (the time the object stopped traveling at a very high speed to slow down significantly). During this significant slowing down time frame...I could tell the bright flash was attached to something that was separating as it was falling. I was under the impression that maybe a local airplane had caught on fire and was probably crashing (due to size of flash) directly to ground in a straight down fall. Yet, I new the size of an airplane should have been way smaller. Due to the tail...I knew it was no airplane.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
